How To Make A Keto Pita Pocket

How To Make A Keto Pita Pocket

Living a healthier low-carb lifestyle the one thing that has been hard to give up is bread. So many things I like to consume have bread. If you want a burger, a sandwich, pizza, or toast in the morning these all call for bread. I have researched high and low for the best bread recipes and recently came across a book that has so many EASY bread recipes I had to talk about it.

One of the recipes I tried out was how to make a keto pita pocket. I couldn’t even take many photos because my family ate almost all of them before I could get my camera out.

In the picture above you see the first pita pocket recipe I followed after buying the recipe book Keto Breads, by Kelley Herring. There are a plethora of bread recipes in this book including over 10 loaf bread recipes, flatbreads, breakfast breads, rolls, and bread buns to name a few. If you pick up this book you certainly won’t have to trade your love of bread for the optimal health you desire.

This book will allow you to continue eating the things you were used to eating as a child until adulthood. But another reason I was interested is because of the dedication Kelley Herring not only has to better foods but to health in general. The research she’s done on this topic surpasses healthier bread recipes, but we all know bread is something hard to be without on a low-carb diet. So I’m thankful she has focused on creating a book with simple yet tasty bread recipes.

Ingredients I used

This pita pocket bread turned out amazing and this is just one her the many recipes in this book. I stuffed my pita pocket with eggs asparagus and onions that I had on hand. Another thing you can stuff it with is smoked salmon (lox) cream cheese, red onions, and capers. There are so many ways you can use this bread.

The one thing I will say is to double up the recipe if you’re serving more than two people. My parents ate their pita pocket the first time I made it and there was just one more left over for me. Check out my pita pocket versus the one from the book below.
